On the early afternoon tide, fisherman coax their ngalawas back across the coral bank and into the lagoon.  Once they arrive at Matemwe village, they bring in their sails and drop anchor.  Then they head up the beach to a small market (comprised mainly of high benches made from concrete) to sell their catch.  People come from all over the island to buy seafood from Matemwe.

This is the last image in my photo story – Zanzibar Reflections.  To see the rest of this photo story: Zanzibar I, Zanzibar II, Zanzibar III and Zanzibar IV.
